Perfect dessert!

I must say. therefore I will say, sugar aggravates my constitution so much so that I have to select sweets with the utmost scrutiny and consume them in very small quantities. So usually when I'm invited to dine with friends, desserts do not make it onto my plate.
However, I have found one delectable that doesn't turn my insides upside down (if I eat only one that is). These delicate and perfectly elegant beauties are a perfect quest delight...small but flavorful!
What are they you ask...well they are the most delicious "Peppermint Brownie Cake Pops".
 Soft almost gooey brownie center enclosed in a sweet white coating sprinkle lightly with luminous peppermint candy...and of course we all know peppermint settles the stomach...perfectly light finale to a delicious dinner!
These are a WOW dessert and sure to delight your guests! The best part is they can be purchased already made...and your guests will think you slaved all day to make them...or they can be easily prepared from scratch.

Samsonite...

Florida opens up a whole new venue of thrifting...tons of Goodwill's...roadside collectives & yard sales.
With my sister at my side and a few hours to spare...our goal was to find the perfect treasures. Goodwill stores became our main destination however we stopped at any shop we considered worthy of second-hand finds. After scouring antique shops, the last thrift store provided these lovely's.

Lets Travel

Love love vintage...as you can tell from my blog title...however the etc...could represent anything else that I fancy. So, besides treasure hunting for fabulous finds...some of the etc's are a combination of  interests like photography, irresistible food finds, travel and interior decorating.
 So along the way, I'll share with you a variety of expressions from each of these interests.

Winter Travel

The Christmas hussle and bussle has been laid to rest...and we've entered into a new era...2012.
I must say, therefore I will say, hurray!
 I'm totally looking forward...to a busy, challenging and prosperous year!
At the near moment we are traveling...Colorado, Florida and everywhere in between. Seriously having fun, finding perfect finds...vintage...retro...So along the way...I'll share with you some of my great finds, (which I will list in my Etsy shops upon my return) kind photos of scenery and such...

Magnet For Vintage

I must say, therefore I will say...somehow vintage treasures just seem to find my path. I feel like a magnet with a force that attracts and attaches vintage lovely's to me. It's a wondrous feeling knowing I don't really have to search or hunt for these treasures...they just seem to show up wherever my day leads me.
This is great news for you my friends and fellow vintage lovers...because you get first glance at these lovely finds before they become available in my 2 Etsy Shops via "Up Town Thrift" & "Lovely Vintage Etc".

The Return

Yes, I have returned after a seemingly long sabbatical...August 2010 was my last post.
Now more than a year later I've decided to reconnect...my intention is to reembark on this blogging venue with a renewed determination to follow through on a consistent posting basis.
People who consistently not only blog, yet can twitt, keep up w/ FB ,create and run an online Etsy shop amaze me! Or should I say more than amaze me! Not to mention many of them have other jobs and college obligations to boot. So Amazing!!
 How do they effectively juggle all such endeavors?
 Do they have a commodity on time...is there a facility where time can be purchased?
 Maybe they don't sleep?
Or just maybe I just move at a turtles pace...
So anyway, I've decided to devote one day to blog posting...I chose lazy daisy Sunday afternoons...however, I might just squeeze a couple more blogging days into the mix...I just never know about me.
So I look forward to seeing you here...reading and commenting as I will bring you on my travels for living vintage treasures...from say the mod hippie 70's to the radical sit-in 60's style...and of course such era's as...30's.40's, 50's etc...
